Hi - I’m scheduled for my first lap/excision in a couple months. I’ve spent years attempting to peel back the layers of what’s been causing numerous health obstacles, and am both excited and terrified of the procedure. A brief history: I’ve had extremely uncomfortable cycles since the start, but debilitating episodes starting about 10 years ago. They don’t occur with every cycle, but when they do, I end up on the floor in severe pain (seemingly labor like?), throwing up, with cold and hot sweats… read more

What GI symptoms are you having? Pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, feeling full after only a few bites? I have GI problems too I have IBS some food intolerances and gastroparesis. Gastroparesis and endometriosis seem to go hand and hand sometimes. If they haven't already I'd ask doctor to do a gastric empty study. I've actually have gotten more symptoms sense my surgery in 2018 but I dont think it was because of surgery I think my problem is just progressing. Anyways I asked what symptoms your having because i might be able to give you advice on what to ask doctors about and things to try and get some relief. Hope things get better for you soon. Hug

Good luck with your surgery :) I have always had the same gut health issues too and they never find anything in an endoscopy/colonoscopy. Then they assume it MUST be your diet so you change that and yet you still have the issues. Some doctors just seem to refuse to accept that they're symptoms of endo.

I have always had GI symptoms and years ago had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and it was clear. After being diagnosed with endo and having them find it on my bowels. I've just always assumed it was related to the endo. I hope you get some answers. Very uncomfortable to have GI distress. I'm glad you are able to get help and rule other things out. Don't give up!

Have you worked with any functional practitioners? I've done work for SIBO, candida, h. pylori, general dysbiosis, etc. and there is improvement, but it seems like nothing is working for more than a few days. I've heard from some practitioners that the healing might not take place until the endo/additional inflammation is removed. Symptoms lean more toward diarrhea/urgency. Occasional constipation. Nausea/vomiting only when having the severe episodes. I don't bloat or have endo belly. I've had colonoscopy and endoscopy everything coming back clear. Thanks for your reply.
