Hello, endometriosis is a multifactorial and polygenic disease. It means there is no unique gene that causes endometriosis. Your girl will have endometriosis only 10% more than normal population.

I don’t think it’s a horrible thing to have children. Endometriosis is not necessarily passed down genetically, but it could be. Endometriosis is a treatable condition. It wouldn’t be like you are passing down Huntington’s disease or something that’s deadly. If you can have children, you might want to before it’s more difficult or impossible.

I mean, we could pass anything down that we don't even know we are passing. My Aunt on my Dad's sude had bad endo, my sister has no issues. I've had 4 c sections, hysterectomy and excision surgery with both adenomyosis and endometriosis. But as a parent I do worry about my girls. Valid concern

My mom had endo and I now have it as well both our experiences are different but I don’t feel as though it’s hurt fault I have it I want kids and I know I could pass it on as well but it’s different for everyone and medicine has come a long ways and endo is talked about more now then ever before and hopefully it’ll continue to be that way til a cure can be found
