Amy Harris is a certified nurse midwife and trained health literacy specialist. Her passion is empowering women to learn more about their own health and wellness, and she did so throughout her 10-year career working in hospitals, private OB-GYN practices, and reproductive health clinics. As a health writer, she loves translating complicated health information into something that actually helps people understand and feel better. She holds a master's in maternal and child health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and she trained to be a nurse midwife at Yale School of Nursing and Boston University School of Public Health. When she’s not writing better words for better health, Amy can be found exploring the outdoors or planning her next workout.
