Diet Advice/pain Relief
Since most food causes an endo flare up I was wondering which foods dont put you in pain? & what recipes possibly. Also I've been seeing a lot of talk about different pain meds that have been prescribed? Does any one have any natural remedies to try?
I've moved to a pretty much completely plant-based diet. No refined sugar, gluten, dairy, meat (I was vego anyway), only certain restricted grains (quinoa, lentils.) I've definitely noticed an improvement in pain levels, though once a week I do let myself have chocolate - it's soul food :)
I've heard that endo also carries a sensitivity to wheat. I always get 'endo belly' somedays even after a glass of water but it mostly flares up when I have sugary foods/msg/wheat. I find fruit and lots of water helps I drink about 3l a day. Fruit juices to. Hope you find something that suits you!
Yes I have read up on it & endo patients diet should be white rice, beans, chicken & that's it. I cannot survive off of that lol thank you I will look into it:)
My best friend is really into holistic medicine. She gave me evening primrose oil. Also she gives me catnip tea which is supposed to be an anti spazmatic. I know what you mean though about food, I lost 10 pounds these last 2 weeks because I can't eat enough of anything because pain is so bad. Also you know the herb that works best;)
Cheese is my guilty food lol I just can't say no sometimes. I read wheat is horrible for us, among dairy/red meat/ & even some veggies! But I've never had pain after eating any fruits or vegetables. I think it really depends on each person, no one is the same even if they have the same disease. I hope you're all doing well today:)
