Members with stage 4 endometriosis on their bowels shared widespread experiences of severe pain after eating, finding relief through dietary changes like cutting out grains, dairy, white bread, and processed foods while increasing plant-based meals, salads, and fruits. Several members emphasized practical strategies including eating smaller meals throughout the day, keeping a food journal to identify trigger foods, taking Miralax daily to prevent constipation, and working with GI specialists to rule out conditions like GERD, gallbladder issues, or Celiac disease. A recurring theme was the emotional solidarity of not being alone in this struggle, with members encouraging each other to stay hopeful, advocate for proper testing, and work with nutritionists when making major dietary changes.

I've been doing a lot of research on diet, since I have also noticed that certain times after I eat I get a bad flare up. It's led to me cutting out most grains, dairy, and sticking mostly to plant based foods. it seems to help most of the time, but definitely isn't a 100% fix.

I did see a GI Specialist and I have GERD and a red patch on the top of my stomach. I take meds for it. They also checked my colon and I have severe scar tissue and Endo was removed from outside of bowel area. Good luck iRiS!!! It sucks we have to go through all this stuff. I've had Endo for over 28 years. It hurts my heart that we all have to suffer the way we do.

I'm going to see a GI specialist soon for the same issues you should to Endodiva hope this helps because most women with Endometriosis can't work out due to pain

I have stage 4 and I am the same way. I have cut stuff out of my diet like white bread, rice and corn. I try to eat things that are easy to digest and I take MIralax everyday so I don't get constipated and my bowels stay soft. I also don't eat to get full, I eat little meals and it has been working. Everyone is different when it comes to what food works with them. I would keep a food journal and put down what helps and what hurts. I hope that helps you. Good Luck

I have stage IV and adenomyosis and eating causes me such pain now! It seems the larger the amount the worse the pain but sometimes what doesn't feel like a lot of food (esp when your hungry) still causes such excruciating pain! 😢 sorry you suffer with this too ladies but glad to be able to talk and know we aren't alone in this
