Living In Treatment

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Quick question anyone else get really bad travel sickness on Lupron injections and tablets to minimise the symptoms but the tablets make the symptoms worse - since starting my treatment I've lost so much weight gone from a healthy 9 and a half stone to 7 stone again and I'm small but it's because I have no appetite or feel nausea constantly ? Has anyone else experienced this? If so are their any ways to manage the symptoms of the treatment and be able to maintain a healthy weight?? :)

I got my Skyla in October and did excision surgery in December. More than sure my lack of current pain is the surgery. The Skyla however was working to treat the Endo when the went in for surgery hardly any endo was present. I haven't yet had a flare but I do live in a fear of the pain I never really fully expect it to go away... I know with the Lupron I personally was still in pain and I was having all the side effects with that.

Yes Lupron is pretty crap if I'm honest I'm still in unbearable pain still and yeah I fear that I'll never b with out the pain and would be just as worried as you and I've heard of excision surgery is that a choice you get I've heard it's better than burning the adhesions off? Because they only burn of the top of the disease and their for it can grow back :/- I don't really know much about the endo apart from it's debilitating pain and I feel so abnormal most days living with the condition

Lupron is actually the worst one I'd tried.

Had it for 4 months now. It hurt the whole first week I got it but besides that I'm not really feeling any side effects.
