Good luck with your op. I had two Laps this year, 4 months apart and each one was different. With the first one the pain was shocking. Had 3 incisions but felt like i'd been hit by a bus, couldn't do anything for myself, and took weeks to recover. The second one, had 5 incisions to remove endo from bowel, colon, rectum and spine and was up and walking as soon as i recovered from the anesthesia and two weeks post op i am already back at work. The best advice i can give you is to not over think it. Yeah yeah easier said than done, i know. Everyone reacts differently. The anesthesia and nausea followed by it will be your biggest problem. Take it easy after the op, even though you might feel fine, rest so you can heal from the inside. Keep warm, my incisions still pain if i'm out in the cold and not dressed warm enough. Wishing you a speedy recovery and let us know how it goes.

I had mine about a month and a half ago. I didn't get anything burned bc I had too much but Prepare to get someone to help you walk dogs/ cook/ clean for the first week. I couldn't drive for about and a half. Good luck!!

I had a laparoscopy 3 weeks ago & I am feeling fine from it. The first 5 days I was pretty drugged up but I only took 1 Norco so I did not experience much pain & I am a big baby. I did have to prepare the day before & drink that stuff. I made a mistake by drinking 7up. It made me vomit. I recommend to drink the stuff first & then drink the clear drinks. Also 6 days after my surgery I was nausea & terrible headache & ended up at the ER but I don't think it was related to the surgery. I have problems with my neck too so I think that is where that was coming from. I really feel Laparoscopy is not that bad, I've had about 4 in my life time. It's the open surgery that has a long recovery time. I hope this helps & good luck to you.

First of all, I wish you all the best and I hope your lap goes well. Take a pillow with you for the ride home, it helps with the road bumps on the way. Also something to read or watch, after my lap I couldn't leave the bed for a few days unless I was going toilet. Also the anaesthetic are horrible, not everyone reacts to it the same way, but my blood pressure and heart rate always drops with it and I struggle to function through the dizziness and nausea so maybe mentally prepare yourself for that. ❤️

Had mine four years ago .I would definately agree with taking something to read or watch as might be long wait as I went in early morning but wasn't operated on till well later in day .Also It took me two three days to recover from anaesthetic the dizziness and nausea was awful. Also I ended up with a urine infection which was awful .they do suggest you are not on your own for first 24 hrs which I couldn't be due to the dizziness .I had three incisions and took me at least 3months to recover fully . I was back at week just over a week after on light duty but had to be careful bending and stretching
I wish you good luck and hope it gives you relief for awhile mine lasted two years then had to have a polopectomony which removed endo growth .Have been fine till just recently and all started up again
