I get terrible migraines when my endo pains are extra bad, which is now most of the time. So does anyone else get bad migraines with endo pain?

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I am right there with you - bad migraines with bad endo pain. If you have ideas to relieve the pain, I would be glad to hear suggestions. I've tried Aleve, heating pads, good hydration, sleep... and nothing works so far. Thank you for sharing your experience. Wishing you pain free days!

@Anne96 I have terrible migraines that have even sent me to the emergency room. I usually get them around the time I ovulate and sometime before my period. I used to get them as a kid and for the most part they were food related migraines. I can't eat any diary or too much sugar as they are a trigger for me. In my 20s the migraines finally stopped (when I went to massage school) massages really helped my neck and shoulder pains. Unfortunately the endo made them come back in my 30's along with IBS. The worst was when I went off oral birth control and I had 5 days of migraines. I lost 10lbs in a week. I can no longer take birth control but that doesn't mean all BC is bad. It just makes my symptoms worse. I take magnesium supplements and a preventative migraine supplement called butter bur. It helps to keep the blood vessels from constricting. Yoga has been a big help too. I also always carry around imatex and anti nausea meds just in case. If I know I'm starting to have a migraine I'll take my meds and an epsom salt bath with an ice pack for my neck. Or just a hot shower to warm up my hands and feet. This pulls the blood away from your head and helps to decrease the intensity of the migraine. I almost always anticipate a migraine around my cycle and try to stick to an anti inflammatory diet as well. Acupuncture and massage has been very helpful too. Hope this helps.
