I was gaining weight prior to my diagnosis. 6 weeks postop and doing an anti-inflammatory diet and no gluten. Lost 8 lbs and endo belly has gone down with surgery and diet combined for me.

I gained 3 1/2 stone about 6 years ago due to treatments, operations, not being able to exercise the list goes on. I’ve always found it difficult to loose weight I think due to having PCOS. Last year I decided enough was enough I tried every diet, slimming world, weight watchers nothing worked. I decided to cut carbs (I didn’t do full keto as I found it too restrictive I didn’t like the idea of not being able to eat certain fruits and veggies so I scrapped that and just cut out breads, pastas, potatoes, grains and limited my sugars I had one carb day a week to begin with) i found the first 2 weeks quite hard but as I progressed I enjoyed it. I lost the weight I could never loose. I’ve now lost 3 1/2 stone and I’m healthier and happier. I now eat carbs 2-3 days per week (healthier ones I.e whole grains, I do have a full cheat with a burger and chips though sometimes I don’t restrict myself on those days) to maintain the loss. I walk a lot as it’s something I enjoy, I don’t go to gym I personally hate it, I’ll do yoga at home instead!

I have gained 30 lbs and I think its the hormones because it wasnt like that before. I have been working out and watching my diet and the scale has not moved. Its frustrating and I wondered if it could be the endo and I see from these comments that it is possible that is the culprit.

I do! I notice that I feel much more clear headed, which is a plus. I definitely believe it helps weight gain, bloat, endo belly. Also, since endo and GI issues are so hand in hand, I feel it helps cut down on those effects and painful bowels.
