How Do You Manage Your Period?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I HATE wearing pads, and had to stop using tampons a couple years ago because it felt like using sandpaper. Using a cup worked for a while, but i have endo scarring right where the cup rests and it causes excruciating pain. (pain worse than cramping) So now i'm back to figuring out how to cope with bleeding. Are there any other options than those 3? (Free-bleeding is not really an option. My cycle is too heavy)

It is so awesome you have that option! I usually just sit at my desk trying not to die/cry.

I've had breakthrough bleeding for about 3 weeks now, and it seems to be getting heavier. I was starting to think about skipping a couple pills to allow my body to really bleed. It just renders me incapable of doing anything when i have my period.

I am actually on birth control right now, but I've got some significant breakthrough bleeding. (Just started it end of Nov) I have an appointment with a new doctor in March so i just need to make it through till then and then see if we can adjust it.
