Hello everyone
Did anyone take the visanne and didn't feel any better about the pain?

Visanne worked for me. No more pain BUT the side effects really bother me. Tried to go off the Visanne and for 2 months I was fine and back to my regular self but by 3rd cycle pain came back and I could not function. Had to go back on Visanne. Side effects for me while on Visanne include hot flashes, night sweats, headaches, feeling bloated all over all the time, huge appetite, and the worst is mood swings. Always in a grumpy mood. It's been just over a year now on this medication. I have adenomyosis (apparently) based on an ultrasound and an enlarged uterus.

Hi there. Been on visanne for about 5 months now. I am no longer getting my period due to it being used with an hormonal IUD. Stil getting the pains even tho they’re less frequent, they’re still as intense. I get sick from them sometimes. Not getting my period helps tho, i used to have pains everyday and now I can say I’m down to about 50% of the time these days. First months were a little all over the place for me. Lots of spotting and irregular periods. I got them for the first 3 months on Visanne and now, its been two months without, but I still get the pains. I have not noticed any mood changes, nor weight gain for now, and I’m usually super sensitive to those so thats good. Overall, I’m glad I’m giving it a good try but I would like something a little more efficient. Might switch to something a little stronger because I’ve been told Visanne is one of the mildest treatments. Hope I helped!
