Problems With Diagnoses - Can’t Seem To Get Any Answers
Hello all
I recently have gotten insurance for the first time (I’m 26) since I was 17. I have always had horrible periods. Heavy bleeding. Uterine wall shedding the size of my hand, extreme pain where over the counter meds don’t work, ulcers from the over the counter meds, pelvic pain even when I’m not on my period, fatigue, and I even tend to loose consciousness (which they claim

Your story sounds just like mine. I got to the point that I didn't see a doctor for 4 years and just dealt with the pain because I wasn't listen to. Go to a endo-specialist/gynecologist. An OBGYN might not be as knowledgeable, especially when it comes to the pain with endometriosis. It's very common for you to feel pain at a young age with periods. Specifically on the first day of every period being the most painful. I experienced this at 16 and it's related to my endometriosis diagnosis. I'm so sorry you've had to deal with these doctors and hope you can get the right diagnoses and treatment soon.
This Dr isn't saying anything right.Leave her.Go to Endo-specialist.I had fibroids , polyps and fluid signal in douglas pouch , pelvic pain allover the month , went to 9 doctors who just put me on Oral contraceptives or Visanne .They have said the same , you don't have anything .They haven't mentioned Endo but i had the feeling that i had Endo.Went to Dr No. 10 , an Endo Specialist , From first visit recommended and set Laparoscopy date. and, it was Endo on Uterosacral ligaments.Don't listen to that Dr , she doesn't understand anything as most of OB/GYN not specialized in Endo. Go to Endo-specilaist.Stay strong, your symptoms are saying Endo to the blind.
I recommend you keep seeking out new doctors until someone listens to you.
Damn shame that a woman can be so dismissive of your issues, EVEN WITH PROOF OF CYSTS AND POLYPS!
Infuriating.
I agree - get a recommendation for a new doctor, and if you feel so inclined, write a letter to your insurance company about your experience.
I pray you don’t get discouraged. We deserve healthy, normally functioning bodies.
