I think that ultimately you need to find a doctor you trust who you can ask all these questions too. We are all so happy to share our own experience but we can’t give comprehensive medical advice the way a doctor can. It is so so hard to find a doctor who is an expert in endo though. How possible is it for you to find a new gyn??

Dont do any surgery now, rather find medication that will make you feel better. Surgery doesnt cure endometriosis, many women on this app have done surgery multiple times and still get pains.

How heavy is the bleeding? I believe visanne can cause light bleeding and spotting after taking it for several months. But if it's heavier you might want to get it checked out more. Could you see the doctor who prescribed the visanne? I'd agree that surgery might be a more long term solution though.

The colonoscopy will not show endometriosis nothing will show endometriosis except for an exploratory surgery. Please visit Nancy’s nook app on fb. I encourage you to join this site, it held all the answers I was searching for and made me feel validated. Through this site, I was able to find a surgeon to get my life back. The more you read through the files the more it makes you angry but at the same time it helps you become your own advocate because there’s not a doctor out there that will be an advocate for you

I went to see my doctor today and he's going to do a hysteroscopy and going to try Mirena next week.
