YES, a lap is well worth, infinitely so when you have excision surgery. Endo messed with my periods big time.

Yes it is worth it! I would do some research if you can before your lap if you decide to have one. It's something I wish I would have done before my lap. That way you can advocate for yourself and get the most out of the surgery. Find a good Dr. like others have said excision is the best way, most OB's just do ablation. These are questions you can ask before, like which methods they would be using, and what there game plan would be if they found it. Don't mean to overwhelm you, but I have major regrets with my last surgery. It's unfortunate that we have to do so much research and advocating for ourselves, because we can't depend on the Dr's to guide us in the right direction, all too common with this disease. Yes I have hypothyroidism and on medication for that. I did do a preg test and stated negative because I'm not on birth control or anything. Thank you to both of you ladies I will look into the advice you have given me.
