Gas X Or Charcoal Pills After Laproscopic Excision
Hi ♡
Has anyone tried either, or are there other alternatives to reduce the C02 pain after surgery?
Thanks! 😊
Definitely consult with your surgeon on this one but from what I understand Gas X seems to be the most common. It was recommended to me and worked great. A heating pad was incredibly helpful too. I might caution against the use of charcoal because it might interfere with other medications. I think it might block your body's ability to absorb other stuff cuz it kind of acts like a spongy filter in your stomach. Or at least you need to wait a while between taking charcoal pills and other medications. But again, I dont want to get in the way of your doctor's opinion, so double check what they prefer. Gentle walking a little bit at a time also helped. The gas pain is annoying but its way less painful than endo period cramps. Just don't panic when it happens, take deep breaths and let your body relax as much as possible. 💛💛💛
Gas-X did absolutely nothing for me. I just had to wait it out. Rocking in a rocking chair can help move the gas out a little quicker and so can walking.
I remember after surgery you can be bit sore and may have trouble doing certain things but take your time and follow what Dr tells u or some off what others on here suggestions. Take medication that given and check with Dr if u want try something else so it won't interfere with meds u given.
Do lite walking .
I had trouble farming so I was told until I let out wind I wasn't allowed to leave hospital. I had the end taken out but also the endo spread where my liver and kidneys and bowl so they had cut bit off my liver, kidneys, and bowl but my bowl healed up and liver but my kidneys will never be 100 per cent normal before I got endometriosis because the endometriosis stuff it and surgeries I had to remove it.
Ohhh, that gas pain!
At the hospital, I was given Tylenol 3, as well as something else which eludes me now, but the best and most annoying solution was to walk a tiny bit each day. A heating pad also helped quite a bit. I was not told to increase my fibre though...
