I did the AIP (autoimmune protocol:paleo) to rule out what was possibly making symptoms worse. My goal was information and not to be restrictive. I only did it for 60 days because I felt like obsessing over food in that way is damaging for me, and i need just clear info about my body. I followed it, and slowly reintroduced foods. It gave me clarity about what could be eaten in moderation and what was a no! ( moderation gluten red meat coffee and alcohol. no: corn kernels and certain veggies difficult to digest and made endo on the outside of my
gi tract insane).

Just thought Iā€™d share.

I have been doing the Keto diet and it helps alot of my mental and emotional symptoms. I have not had much pain since either now that I think about it. I highly suggest !

I have been thinking about this for a very long time and experimented with the keto diet and paleo diet. I've even tried to be vegetarian and vegan for periods of time and I've noticed and listened to my body. So far I've noticed how much pain I'm in when I do have dairy or pork or too many carbs/sugars. It's been hard for me to be disciplined since those are all things that I have loved prior to feel endo flare ups but because I now associate those foods with memories of pains following eating it, it's become easier to just find alternatives and control the amount of pain I have, however I can. Diet being extremely important. I haven't heard of AIPD but I'm definitely intrigued. I have noticed that I am frequently sick especially when I have bed endo episodes - headaches, fever, chills, fatigue and other symptoms that may present like the flu. So the idea of taking an autoimmune approach makes perfect sense to me and makes me feel more validated that endo can bring on all these symptoms. Hope this helps a bit. and you're definitely not alone in finding diets that help with endometriosis.
