Endo And Menopause
I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with being in there 40s and losing both ovaries. I am wondering if your doctor put you on any meds as you are going through early menopause due to the lose of your ovaries. What has been your experiences?
Oh dear, I really hope you can find a good surgeon who does fertility sparing surgery. Most of the Nook drs I mentioned will not take the ovary or fallopian tubes out unless they've been completely destroyed by the Endo. There are hormones they can give you to ease the medically induced menopause from removing both ovaries but it's definitely better to leave them in. I'm wishing you lots of luck.
I was told I'd be given add-back therapy if I had my ovaries removed. I would be sure to consult with Dr. Arrington, my excision surgeon, before starting anything.
No. They had to remove my left ovary and tube back in Sept. 2018 due to a very large cyst. If they have to remove my right ovary then I believe that would put me in menopause.
Thank you. Of course I will keep you updated. I love this group and the support.
Thank you so much.
