If you were on a BC pill that was wrong for your hormone balance it could have made things worse and not better. Happened to me on the wrong pills, including heavier bleeding and worse cramps. You may need a different prescription. The brown your described is old blood coming out, which is an endo symptom and can happen on BC pills. In my experience it was never pregnancy for me when that happened. Talk to you doctor want changing your BC pill prescription. There is no one pill fits all for BC pills. You may need to try a few before you get the right pill. I ultimately ended up with an IUD, which comes with a whole host of other problems, but less migraines and no period.
