Birth Control Recommendations That Have Helped With Night Sweats, Pmdd? Or Just Worked For You?
Every time I’ve tried BC minus Yaz-I’ve had terrible side effects, especially mood issues or acne and it’s never helped my pain/never been able to successfully skip.
Over the last 2 years I’ve developed really bad pmdd and more recently-drenching night sweats and bad insomnia for the entire 2 weeks before the sugar pill/period.

I don’t know if I’m one to give advice. But my 20s were wasted trying to find the right birth control pill. No one told me it was endo-but I had it all-the PMDD, heavy painful periods, etc. Progesterone never worked for me and made things worse. Although I am preparing for a hysterectomy now, I am currently on Generess/Layolis FE/Kaitlib FE-they are all the same-just go by different names. I skip the sugar pills and just take the packs back to back so you never get your period and no PMDD. I haven’t had my period for 20 years. It gave me my life back. Everything went away. It may take a couple packs.
I’m worried for my hysterectomy that they aren’t removing my ovaries which means I may still have PMDD-so I see I can still stay in the pill to manage those symptoms after and talking to doctors about it now. PMDD is a nightmare and that is honestly what is scaring me the most about the hysterectomy is having those symptoms again.
