I am lucky to have a job working remote. I have a month of vacation each year, which mainly goes to my surgeries/hospital time, then I recover at home. I would otherwise be fired. My boss had adenomyosis, so she understands a little.

FMLA will protect you. When I had it and called out, I said, "I'm sick today FMLA." It didn't count against me.
