Has Anyone Been Approved For Disability For Insurance Purposes With An Endo Diagnosis?
I keep hearing/ reading/ getting told "it's disabling but not a disability". Very few doctors approve of endo being a disability... which to me is confusing with how it's chronic, can k1ll you if left unmanaged, has lead to d3pression, etc. Only recently have they found a "cure" but it's not regulated yet, and no it's not a hysterectomy.
** I am asking NOT through SSA but just with your doctor/ primary care or an OB if anyone has been approved.
This depends on your insurance...but if you got laid off/had your work hours, etc. changed, and work ability affected, you can show documents to have it validated
I just saw on tiktok (insta reels) that you have to get denied 1-2 times before an approval can go through. It's stupid, I know. So keep trying! I should have specified I did not mean with SSA, their regulations/rules are too strict for most people. I'll edit it now for other people who see this question.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member yes. Just provide all medical information along with Employment information and they can work with you and go from there. Don't be discourage people! Endo. was recently added to the Compassionate List of Social Security so try and apply If you qualify!
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member Main focus they seemed to focus on was Mental state. Which is confusing considering our Physical state of being! Work credits were a big factor if you are not applying for SSI.
Girl! I understand! I feel they just go by standards of information that was on some manual or charts/graphs from 1900..literally!!!🤓😤 What's going on here!! It's about time to stop pushing us women aside when we say we need equal rights and inclusion within EVERYTHING!!
