Sending love. I wish my surgeon had better prepared me for the reality of this disease. I feel like I'm learning more about endometriosis each day

🙋🏾‍♀️ had excision surgery for thoracic endo in 2022 and have been in Visanne since, but I still get chest pain, shoulder pain, trouble breathing and severe fatigue. Also had a pleurodesis (sticking the lung to the chest wall) so now the doctors say there's nothing they can do about it.

I've had 2 excision ops, i can whole heartedly say I woke up from both feeling better than i was before. To me the surgeries were a success I had massive relief of symptoms. 2 thing to remember though,
1. is scar tissue may cause similar symptoms, the more ops you have the higher the likelihood of encountering scar tissue issues.
2. Endo can recur (the more advanced your case the higher the chance of its return.
E.g. (My case specifically, I do not claim this to be everyone's experience), I had my My symptoms came back after my 1st op. But they came back because the endo was back. I had full relief from symptoms till my endo returned.

Hey,had a laparoscopy this past January, my doctor literally prepared me mentally to say the surgery won't take away majority of the pain especially if I had suffered with the disease foe years, it's literally a form of management. I am on vissane, I feel better but they are some hard days, still get pains as though I'm on my period but it's better, let's say pain was a 12/10 now 6/7 maybe 4 on a great day.We keep hoping and praying for cure and healing
