Troy, OH

Diagnosed April of this year. I already had really bad cramping prior to the surgery. It just feels its increased significantly after the surgery.

Awe wishing you all the best! It definitely just took with more time to heal than I was told to expect, so I also prepped for about 2 weeks off, but for my most recent surgery I was able to get myself like 4 weeks of rest and it made a huge difference. Good luck!

Thank you! Every check up appointment I have at the OB I let them know my cramping is still very painful. Heating pad helps but not much. I used all the oxycodone they gave me for my surgery and the last time I used it, it helped but I still had small sharp pains here and there. I am going to ask my doctor if I can get 800mg (used all of that too after surgery) and see if they may prescribe more oxycodone I only use it if the 800mg ibuprofen is not helping I wait an hour before taking it. I am taking myfembree that is basically shutting my ovaries down I'm hoping the cramping will lessen once the 4 months have passed. I only took I think 2 weeks off after surgery if I have to get this surgery again I will definitely consider taking more time off to heal.

My first surgery was so painful after, I wasn’t doing the right things to heal and the doctor did not explain to me how much rest I should do (really underestimated the healing process). For my next two surgeries I had more informative docs who helped me anticipate the healing process more- I was able to heal much better and be patient with myself and take it easy for about 2 months post surgery, and even though that felt like a long time it was worth it eventually. That was my bodies experience, don’t know if it will be relatable but definitely helps to understand and have convos with docs who are honest and supportive. Also, if it’s severe pain… maybe something to reach out about, my pain was borderline just uncomfortable and symptoms related to fatigue and bloat with some light cramping and bleeding. So sorry though! I hope you can get relief soon!
