I do & mine is also worse during period week. I tend to have pelvic pain between 2-4 a.m. even weeks before my period. I also have back pain which is worse when I lay down. I feel uncomfortable after using the bathroom in the middle of the night. Holding my pee actually feels better & I think my body has defaulted to avoiding as much pain as possible. I have my electric heating pad on me every night...this, prayer, crying, singing to myself, snuggling with my fur babies & looking at things I like on Pinterest help me eventually go back to sleep but I tend to only get about 4hrs of sleep each night. Much love to you and prayers for better days. 💛God bless & keep you!

I really struggled with this too. The nights that I'm not awake from pain (I can understand that it's not many) a sleep routine really really helps me. I sort of just give up on period week but I'm trying to stick to it the rest of the month at least in the minimal version. Hoping I can be consistent and hoping this is useful for you!

Absolutely ideal version of the routine:
- Drink some chamomile tea 30-45 min before bed (also good for inflammation/pain)
- spend 30 minutes doing non-screen activities like skincare and cleaning up,
- spray some lavender mist (not sure this helps but is a fun scent a friend gifted me),
- listen to a sleep podcast and drift off to bed

Realistically I try and do the Chamomile tea + sleep podcast. I've tried headspace and liked it while I used it but currently prefer the calm app. For free ones I liked the sleepy bookshelf on spotify. When I feel too drained I at least try and put on a sleep podcast but do give up sometimes.

Side note - I had terrible breast soreness to the point that sleeping on my side was painful. Luckily it has reduced over the years. Have you tried evening primrose oil for it? I was young when I tried it so can't remember if that's what helped but I took it for a long time and it's many OBGYNs go-to in India. I also have been so so bloated recently and what gave me some relief and control back was sizing up in a few trousers and comfy clothes. Not a solution at all but helps to minimise the visual and the horrible tight feeling from the bloat.

Thank you for your comments. I am always fatigued, bloated to the point of feeling strangled by my underwear. I wake up several times a night, to pee or due to mouth dryness. 24/7 urination and constipation issues, year-long. My insomnia leads me to agitation and shortness of breath (let's add breast soreness since ovulation). Likewise, I am certain that my hormones directly affect my allergies. Nothing works for my insomnia, just being so tired, and in pain, that my body finally shuts down.
