Being Yourself Is More Than Enough

Posted on May 14, 2018

"After years of feeling like I need to be better, stronger, healthier, and in control, I now know I am enough." - Member of MyEndometriosisTeam

Members of MyEndometriosisTeam experience the burden of endometriosis physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Sometimes we strive to appear healthier than we are to avoid the stigma of endo. Other times, we experience relief and support from women who've been in our shoes.

"I'm getting out of the rat race. I'm not hiding my pain anymore. If I'm tired, I'm going to rest. Hearing from others with endometriosis has taught me that I have to prioritize ME."

Here are recent conversations from members on MyEndometriosisTeam:

"I love this website. I love you ladies. It’s the first time I haven’t felt so alone. My husband is amazingly supportive and I don’t understand why he stays some days because my body is betraying me. Thank you, ladies, for helping me feel not so alone."

"I still have bad days, but as of right now, the good days outweigh the bad. For this, I am extremely grateful and thankful!"

"I am so grateful that I found this group—especially for all the hugs, support, and validation you’ve all provided! Endometriosis can be an isolating condition at times, and it’s helped me so much to know that I’m not alone."

Have you found yourself striving to appear as though you have it all together? Have you discovered ways to surround yourself with others who make you feel that you are more than enough? Share what you've learned in the comments below or directly on MyEndometriosisTeam.com.
