Endometrial Ablation
I had multiple procedures recently. I am 21 years old and I had an endometrial ablation, tubal, removal of endometriosis, and cyst removal. This procedure was about 2 weeks ago and I'm concerned. I have already had a uterine infection and had to take really strong antibiotics. I'm having a full period now with large clots and excruciating pain. Sadly ablation is found to be unnefective in treating endometriosis. During ablation they burn the surface of the endo, which in turn leaves disease behind to grow. Excision surgery with a specialist where they cut it out with a scalpel is recommended.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member is right. In my experience and other women's stories burning of the endo never works, if anything it only makes it worse. Find a specialists! I wish you the best!
Never hesitate to call your doctor about a question & never hesitate if you feel it's really bad to go to the hospital. I have been a nurse aide for 10 years & took EMS so as soon as you can the better. When I had ablation I was on my period but it was normal as it can be for Endo. But when in doubt call your doctor.
They did that but they removed my endometrium. So the lining of my uterus is supposed to be gone. That is the part that I'm worried about..
