I am scheduled for surgery to find out if i have endometriosis. I wonder if it is what i have or something else. I feel just nausea right now and about a week and half away from getting my cycle. Occasional pain in lower stomach that is like sharp, and will get sharp pain through pelvic area also. All around just feel crappy. Anyone have that and its endo?

Yes I agree with these ladies. I regret having not researched things before my surgery. I highly suggest seeing if there is an excision specialist near you. It's really sad because we have to be the one's to educate ourselves on this disease and learn right from wrong. You will find many OBGYN's that will feed you misinformation and wrongly treat this disease. I don't want to worry you. I was fine from my surgery, but burning endometriosis is not the way to go. I will be having my second lap soon by a specialist this time. I am glad you have found this website. There are some very nice and wise people here. I hope we can help. I wish you the best.

Hello love!! Glad you are here but there might be some important info regarding ablation that you might want to consider before undergoing surgery. It only burns off endo superficially. There are some wonderful women with info and resources on ablation (burning off tissue) vs. excision (surgical removal). It is a complex topic but we are here to help you understand and make the best decision. But it appears ablation might put you at higher risk for complications and the need for continued surgery than excision with a specialist. There are no easy answers but let us help you make the best decision for your health based on evidence and research💛💛

Yes! I hope and pray your surgeon knows what he/she is looking for and sends biopsies. AND do not agree to Lupron or Orilissa or Synarel.

I suggest joining Nancy's Nook Endometriosis Education on FB. There is SO much information on that site. Do not post for the first week. Just read and READ!!

I am here if you need me!

See those images from Stage IV? That's what I looked like inside. I have horrible STAGE IV endo. There is a scoring system to assess and stage endo. Anything above a 40 is Stage IV. My score was a 72.

PLEASE have excision and not ablation. My score is so high because of previous surgeries causing so many adhesions.

diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, dilitation and curettage with Novasure ablation

This is what i am having done. They are burning any endometrium they find in the laparscopy and then the abalation is to stop the periods.
