It's been almost 3 years since I've had a partial hysterectomy and the subject of pregnancy is a very hard one for me. It's really hard for me to see other women pregnant and also when they have a baby. All my close friends have kids or are trying and it really kills me to be around them even though I'm genuinely happy for them but it's something I'll never experience or have and it sucks. @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member Your feelings are absolutely normal. What you have been through would be a challenge for anyone, and it is hard to not feel alone in it all.
Getting triggered by others happiness with their children, impending children or plans for the same is natural, normal and more important - no less than what would be expected for a woman going through what you have.
Not that you asked for advice...but be kind to yourself, find some opportunities to get some really awesome self care in - in whatever capacity suits you best. Colouring, Yoga, Walks, Wine, Chocolate... Your selfcare, your decisions.
Be kind to yourself...I'm going in next week to talk total hysterectomy with my doc...It's a scary concept. But remembering I'm not alone is a big part of the battle...
