A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Spotsylvania, VA

Ok, recently had a laparoscopic, which confirmed endometriosis. On my second round of 3 month . However, the Lupron is not working and I am still in constant pain. I was told if Lupron didn't take away the pain not all pain is endometriosis. Has anyone else has this issue? In then I am looking for endometriosis specialist in Virginia. Does have any suggestions?

Hi there,
I live in Virginia Beach but I go to a doc in Chesapeake. The office is Gynecology Specialists and my doctor is Dr. Leao. She was the only one to suggest that I might have endo after years of infertility treatment at the world-renown Jones Institute in Norfolk VA. They never even considered that might be the reason why I had pain and couldn't get pregnant.

Dr. Leao did my laparoscopy and discovered that I have stage IV, so I am on the depo shot now. I have been very happy working with her and feel like she really listens to what I have to say.

Gynecology Specialists phone number is: (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators).
Good luck with everything!

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member thank you for the response. I do have a doctor that truly seems to wanna help, but when I question on things I have read she doesn't want to believe. It is definately a crazy cycle.. I will keep searching for someone and when I do find someone I will for sure let you know.

I was also on Lupron a few months ago and it did nothing for the pain. I went off that and started taking progesterone to help control the pain. It did a little bit but that's it. I just had surgery on Thursday and they scraped my left ovary and removed both tubes.

Thank you for the contact information. I am definately going to reach out. All of this hit me head on. I have been extremely healthy for years and then for the last 3 years I have been just managing. Honestly, I didn't even know what this "endometriosis" was about until I finally got the diagnoses this year. Thank you again
