What Is A Good Heating Pad Brand? Rite Aid Brand Doesn't Get Hot Enough, Even On Highest Setting.

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Remember the older, plasticy mat heating pad that could boil a kidney and burn a hole in the sheets? That's what I need! I've been through Rite Aid brand and CVS brand (I think) so far and neither gets hot enough to do anything for me. You can barely feel any warmth when holding a hand to it. I can't remember what brand I had before. Everything I've replaced it with is useless. Which brand do you have that works well?

Thank you! I was looking at Sunbeam and wasn't sure. Ended up settling with Boncare and it is fantastic! Only 2 heat settings, but I actually have to dial it back sometimes and that is awesome! Broils me like a lobster and no auto shut off, so I can keep it on all night long if I want!
Absolutely! Nah, not creepy at all! 😂😁 It's actually relieving that I don't have to catch at least 1 person up on what's going on with me! Endo tends to create lengthy histories for everyone. Lol. ...And I'm on a body donor program - when I die, universities of medicine get to pick me apart so that they can learn more. I get a free cremation out of it and, hopefully, the soul goal of being the guinea pig that helps a doc learn how to be better. 🤣
Yes, endo can most definitely come back after a hysterectomy. It's a shame some docs still debate it, but it's totally been disproven. Horrible how uninformed soke docs stay! I've definitely met my fair share of them too! It's mainly because it's next to impossible to get all the endo in any surgery. Endo can grow on literally any part of the body (eyes, lungs, brain, you name it). Many organs are unoperable, so endo just continues growing. No birth control or pill is gonna eradicate it completely. It will supress it at best. The other thing is that a lot of excisions are done with a DaVinci robot. Since a doc has to rely on nothing but sight and isn't literally holding your organs and feeling "rough patches" that don't look any different from the rest of the organ, they tend to miss a lot of endo lesions in their earlier stages.
In my case, endo was also found on my lower bowels 8 yrs ago during my hysterectomy and the surgeon said he has no idea how much further up the endo goes, but he couldn't get what was on the bowels. It's a guarantee there'll be endo growths when I find a doc who can do my next dual surgery. Dr. Vidali from NY said the same thing too. Man, I almost wish we could share actual medical records on here for others! Lol. We all care about mystery solving here and it's amazing how advice from other patients has been way more of a help to me than most of the docs I've seen in my life for endo issues!
