Does Anyone Else Have A Severe Hormone Imbalance? If So, What Are Your Symptoms? And Does It Make Your Endo Worse?

I’ve been on Seasonale birth control now since beginning of October and so far I think it’s helped quite a bit but I still get the hormonal symptoms (and PMDD) anytime my hormones fluctuate such as ovulation time and 10-14 days before my period starts. The fluoxetine (generic of Prozac, 30mg) everyday has finally been kicking in and helping with a lot of symptoms. Not 100% but a good chunk and helps me feel a wee bit more “normal”. The Ativan has been helping the panic attacks but the panic… read more

Just wanted to say that I feel you! My endo pain level is directly correlated with all sorts of other awful symptoms, like ones you've mentioned and unexplained weight gain, but one doctor told me that it's not related to hormones...her direct quote was "hormones don't cause this". Mmmk. I have a new dr. now but still struggling to find a treatment plan. I am on orilissa 200mg 2x/day and I've been taking HUM SOS PMS and topical magnesium. The combo of all of that has helped me the last few months (although still not losing any weight) and I can only stay on the orilissa for a few more months. I hope you are able to find treatment that helps you!

I am currently have terrible hormonal imbalance. This caused my face to breakout in the extreme., i never had acne, now i cant even look at myself. Its very mentally and emotionally depressing.

I also have hormone issues as well and I'd say the biggest impact it has is on my mental health. I have every other symptom you said here except for kneecap pain. I'm an very bad at taking medication consistently so I would like to try fluoxetine again when I have a better opportunity.

Good luck for the surgery 2/1! I was thinking about getting my hormone levels checked. But I think after my surgery when I can stop the hormone patches I use now, which by the way make me a horrible witch😂 I get insecure, agitated, suspicious like bleh thoughts I can not turn off and I feel like the most bloated person ever and ugly😅. But I think I have to sing it out till my surgery in February. I don’t know if when i stop and do get my period (wich I don’t really want to have because of more pain offcourse) if that would make the surgery harder. And more pain and surgery sounds like nahh. But I don’t know if my partner can handle a nother month of hormonepatchme😅 I did order some herbs to make tea that would regulate hormones and lower estrogen. So hoping that will help a bit. When I’m at the time of menstruation or ovulation even with the patches I get migraines, and also the acne on my chin. I feel like it’s getting worse tho with the patches. Like more pain over all in my bowel and towards my hips but then all the time in a lower painful level then with when I would have a period. So I think after surgery I would like to stop with the hormone stuff for a while (if that’s manageable) and get my hormone levels checked to see where they are at. For me personally it feels like it gets worse or like the endometrial tissue is growing now that I am on these patches. And maybe after a test of my hormone levels they can tell me what would be best to do or what is out of balance.
