Hi..I am 34years old and I was diagnosed with endomitriosis and adenomyosis back in 2022. I had keyhole surgery to 2022 to scrape what they could and told me when I hit 35 I would need a hysterectomy. However I was at my gyno few days back and he showed me the pictures from my laparoscopy and told me it was in my bowel ( I knew deep down it was as I’ve had too many problems), but no one mentioned it to me until now.. he told me I need to have mri to see how deep it has went to see which surgery… read more

Hi there,
First of all- I am sorry you are dealing with this. I can relate to the frustration. I had a c section 3 years ago and was not told that the incision had to be done differently once inside me due to endo fusing bladder to uterus. I waited a year to see a specialist who told me he read my post op note and saw that information on it. My recent mri shows both bowel and bladder fused by adhesions as well as cervix to rectum. As you said- I knew as well due to my bowel issues. I am going on 1 month of right side pain under my rib and in my abdomen. I am struggling with what I think is some kind of partial bowel blockage and my surgery is a year away. I am so thankful to be on a list but I am not sure what to do in the meantime. The pain is so bad and I can’t eat. I can’t go to the bathroom or pass gas normally. The pain has radiated through my arm, jaw, headaches, backache. I am worried I will end up having to go to er (where I have been told endo is not an emergency) and have a surgery on my bowel performed by a surgeon who is not an endo specialist. If I have success with any strategies that help, I will let you know. Sending positivity - good luck!
