I have had a Mirena IUD since January 2019 and I am thinking that it is not working for me. I have tried the combo pill, the mini pill, and this. I still have a long, painful and heavy period. It can last up to 10 days sometimes, I have passed out from the pain, I feel like I maybe get a 5 day break during the month. I am 25 years old, it took 13 years for me to get diagnosed and I am always nauseous and in pain... what is my next step? Also I don't want surgery, if I can avoid it

Ask of the specialist performs excision or ablation. If he or she does ablation, get out of there and find someone else. Also do not see anyone who wants to put you on Lupron, Depo, Orilissa, or any other GnRH agonists such as Synarel. They dont work and cause horrific short amd long-term side effects.
