A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all,

Im hoping you can convince me im not crazy because GP seems to brush me off with pain killers.

April 2020 i had a break through bleed that was told probably a very early miscarriage we can't tell.

June this year i start getting IBS symptoms every day and in September i had another break through bleed which lasted 2 weeks. I was sent for an internal scan which showed a polyp in my gallbladder and fibroids in my uterus but told these were nothing to worry about. I was then sent for a… read more

It is common to have no pain from endometriosis during pregnancy because you have no periods and your progesterone levels are high. Also, your immune system is less active, so you have less inflammation. I even felt great when I was breastfeeding until my period started again.

I think if you write down your symptoms and feelings will help you talk to your doc about endo and the laparoscopy… they sometimes needs facts to get your point, since pain is not enough… write down everything you want to share about your body that makes you feel unsecure

Yes, it was difficult. I got to a point where I thought it was in my imagination and I always felt like I was bothering the doctor keep having to go back when my pain was still there.
I still have pain every day, day and night, but now i have strong painkillers which I have to take every few hours and thankfully they really help me to have an almost normal life. Its only when I have a flare up or during my period that the painkillers dont have any effect. Without them I wouldnt be able to function.
I managed to get pregnant naturally and i had absolutely no pain ddurin pregnancy and could run up and down the stairs at 9 months! Unfortunately the pain is back the same as before.
Im hoping to have an MRI scan soon to get a better idea of how much the Endometriosis has progressedand then surgery .

Thank you for asking . ♡ x
