I'm Going For My Trans Vaginal Ultrasound On Mon. I'm So Nervous Does Anyone Know What I Should Expect During This Appointment?

We discussed how hormonal therapy didn't work so this was the next step, not sure what step would be next after the ultrasound. I haven't been diagnosed yet, this is all new to me.

It seems a lot scarier than it actually is.

Undergoing TVS for the first time can seem overwhelming at first. It might feel uncomfortable as the transducer (wand like structure) is first placed inside the vagina. However, after that it wont be uncomfortable anymore. Just try to relax around your gyne and you'll be fine. The procedure also takes only 15-20mins and dont worry about the transducer, its just small and a lot of lubricant is placed on it to lessen the uncomfortable feeling. You got this!

I hope they see something than can lead to a laparoscopic surgery for you, for a diagnosis. The Dr during a trans
Vaginal ultrasound was able to see the adhesions/lesions from my endometriosis. This has happened more than once for me. But they had to do the laparoscopy for the proper diagnosis even though they could see it on the ultrasound.
