Pain All Through The Month, Still Waiting For A Diagnosis.. Any Advise Would Be Much Appreciated

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Ireland, IN

I'm suspecting I have endo for the last 12 months or so.. I have many of the 'typical symptoms' however I seem to experience pain most days in the month.. period type pain, organs being dragged down type pain, but all through the month. My periods are quite short, 1 heavyish extremely painful day and then it's just brown sticky spotting for the remaining few days. Lots of bowel symptoms also but again all through the month & I have had colonoscopies etc but they've come back clear.. Does this… read more

Diagnosed With Menopause

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Clovis, CA

I was just diagnosed with menopause and I’m trying to make sense of it. Just turn 38 years old one week ago and have had endo for the last 18 years. I have so many questions. What does this mean for my endo? Is there any possibility to have a child with any fertility treatments? I’m the first in my family to experience menopause this early in life. Anyone experience something similar?

How Long Before Visanne Pain Ends?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello, new here, 25 yrs old. I found this site researching endometriosis. I’m really happy knowing I’m not suffering alone, even though I do wish none of us had to suffer. I started Visanne in March this year after visiting my gyno, she told me I had endometriosis which explained those awful debilitating, excruciating fainting pains. I started Visanne about the week after, however my period hadn’t started yet, she did say I could take it nevertheless. My period pains usually last two to three… read more

Does A Surgeon's Claim That He Has Not Had To Do Another Excision Surgery On Those Above 30 Sound Realistic?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Memphis, TN

My surgeon is claiming that he has not had to do another excision surgery on patients above 30. He says he does 200-300 excisions a year. I am not a doctor, but don't think this is consistent with the literature or other surgeons' success rates. I want to proceed with the surgery, but am having a hard time believing this statement. What do other people think?

Thanks!

Endo Awareness Youtube

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Oamaru, NZ

Hi ladies. I hope that you're all coping well with your endo & that you're feeling peaceful (although probably unlikely). I'm wondering, I have a Youtube channel & am wanting to put up a video about what endo is & to share my journey with endo (to promote awareness of this condition, as well as to get us talking & sharing). What I'd like to know is if any of you would happen to have any advice or interesting tips that I could include in the video for those who may be watching? This could… read more

My final pill is tomorrow. Will let you know how that goes after being on it for 6 months.

Night Sweats

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Minneapolis, MN

I have night sweats constantly and I assume it's from the birth control or the lack of hormones because of the birth control, does anyone know more about this? Does anyone know if changing to a different birth control may help? Or is it caused by the endo itself? I can't see why it would be but saw many others have this problem too. I hate waking up constantly sweaty then cold then sweaty. Sigh.

Hello there, are you perhaps taking Visanne?

Does Anyone Else Experience Leg Pains Other Than Sciatic Nerve Pain?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Toronto, CA

For many years on and off I have gotten extreme pain on the back of my legs. The pain feels like it’s only my skin, not muscles or anything. It will be so severe that sitting on a toilet seat is excruciating or having the blankets brush my skin is also very painful. About three months ago that same pain started extending to skin around my bum cheek and close to my vagina. About six months ago the leg pain is also presenting randomly as throbbing pains in the tops of my legs somewhere between my… read more
